Rapper E40, donated $25,000 to his Former Middle School

e40Platinum Recording Artist, Rapper E40, donated $25,000 to purchase backpacks and school supplies for the students at Ben Franklin Middle School in Vallejo, California. He attended the middle school back in the day when he was a youngster.

According to the principal, Dr. Michelle Jordan-Faucett, Earl Stevens, which is E40’s government name, called to ask how he could assist the school. Unbeknownst to E40, the school was searching for a sponsor for its backpack giveaway.  After the principal made the request, E40 stepped up by gifting each of the students with a sturdy backpack, which could last throughout their college years. In addition, the backpacks were filled with supplies: a notebook, folders, pencils, and pens.

Before putting the notebooks in the backpack, he personally autographed each of the notebooks, which was a nice touch.

Today’s lesson: If you want to help, just call a local school and ask the principal.
