Street Soldier Blog is where hip hop advocates: volunteers, protesters and advocates are showcased.
hip hop advocate defined: a street soldier, who is a person that takes their advocacy off the couch, and uses his or her energy in a raw unapologetic, but smart and strategic manner allowing a plan of action to flow like a hot rap lyric that produces results for a cause or issue of choice.
A protester with a hip hop twist is a person, who uses energy in a raw and unapologetic manner to make a point, take a stand for a cause or issue while holding a clever sign and chanting powerfully like a rapper performing at an arena for the very first time.
You see, hip hop advocates takes ownership of their assignment: protester, marcher, worker activist or advocate – yet they are flexible with a spirit of cooperation. The creative ones are ready to flow with ideas, like a hip hop artist spitting righteous lyrics.
hip hop advocates knows it is not about just throwing money at the cause, or being a number in the crowd, but they have a willingness to fight for changes that endure and “do more than scratch the surface.” Fight the Power!
Do you know volunteers, @BoldVolunteers, advocates or protesters that do more than scratch the surface?
