Tara J. Young, who is the advocate with a hip-hop twist, will soon be heard monthly on Rev. Horace Sheffield’s radio show, which airs every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on 910 AM Super Station WFDF in Detroit, Michigan.
Tara is honored to be a part of the show hosted by the Civil Rights Leader. Rev. Sheffield’s father is a Civil Rights Icon who worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Rev. Sheffield is continuing his father’s legacy of activism in Detroit.
During Tara’s segment she will discuss and profile organizations, campaigns and people who are doing more than scratching the surface in their community. In addition, she will highlight the exciting and the mundane parts of organizing, protesting, advocacy and politics to educate and inform the listener to “do more than scratch the surface.”
